WHAT IS TE WHIRINGAWHA?
Te Whiringawha is a way to look at management and personality styles through a Te Ao Maori lens. How do we react to others? How do we feel when others react to us? What is our natural way to react? What do we value? How are we seen by others?

How does this fit in the classroom?
If you know how a person identifies themselves you will be able to approach them in a way that makes them feel valued and respected and not threatened.

How does this fit with children?
Everyone, no matter what age can relate to Te Whiringawha.

Today we looked at what is Te Whiringawha. We talked about who would fit into each box. For example Mrs Peck would be our ariki ias she is the Principal/Leader of our school. After we had discussed what type of person would be suited to the model. Our children then went away and made up slide shows of which cartoon characters would fit in the model.
